**Akamai Enterprise Business Unit is looking for a Manager to enable our geographically dispersed engineering teams to improve their productivity, throughput, and predictability through a transformation to agile methods. The person assuming this role will work directly with members at every level of the Business Unit leadership and support the needs of both local and remote teams.



*** Lead Agile transformation within the Business Unit while teaching and coaching teams about Agile engineering best practices**

*** Contribute to building an environment where continuous improvement of the development process is in focus and where everyone?s common goal is to deliver outstanding software as fast as possible**

*** Standardize the Software Delivery Life Cycle throughout the Business Unit and recommend appropriate supporting tools**

*** Coach teams through their Agile adoption and how to deal with tough challenges e.g. related to how they work and interact together**

*** Identify areas of improvement and conceptualize methods on how to be more efficient**

*** Welcome servant leadership and demonstrate behaviors in line with lean principles**

*** Provide thought leadership at the project through organizational levels**

**Support the advancement of the Program Management profession within Akamai**

**About the Team**

**Akamai?s Enterprise & Carrier Division is a dynamic new business unit responsible for developing and selling CDN and DNS products for network service providers (Telcos, ISPs, MSOs). These products include both licensed and managed offerings, sold under Akamai?s Aura and AnswerX brands, for multiple use cases including multi-screen video delivery, retail CDN and network offload. The division consists of business development, engineering, product management and support, and works closely with several other groups within Akamai and external partners.


Applicants must meet one of the following education and experience requirements:

* 8 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor?s degree or

* 6 years of relevant experience and a Master?s degree

Basic Qualifications?

* Bachelor?s Degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, Business, Math, MIS, CIS or related equivalent degree

* 5+ years of proven experience in the Agile space as a Coach, Product Owner, Scrum Master and/or Engineer

* 3+ years of proven experience migrating an organization from waterfall to agile based SDLC

* 5+ years of experience with tools used to measure effectiveness of build, management, and test of automation development environments

* 5+ years of experience collaborating and interfacing with cross functional teams (engineering, QA, release management, network operations, product management, professional services, etc.


* 5+ years of experience working in cloud based multi-geographic development environments and teams demonstrating a sense of urgency and ownership to drive projects to completion

Desired Qualifications

* Certified Scrum Coach (CSC), Certified Scrum Professional (CSP) and/or Project Management Institute-Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) certification

* Use of JIRA, Rally, Jenkins, or Stash

* Thought leadership via speaking engagement or white papers

* Experience in a scaled Agile environment

* Strong organizational and leadership skills, and the ability to drive the day-to-day activities of internal resources

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills

* Demonstrated ability to quickly grasp new technologies?
