Our clients include the Departments of Housing and Urban Development, Education, Health and Human Services, Labor, Veterans Affairs, and the Food and Nutrition Service, among others.

Opportunity

Abt Associates seeks a qualified Administrative Assistant to support the Social and Economic Policy Division on Cambridge, MA.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

* General administrative tasks such as processing mail, photocopying, filing, preparing overnight deliveries and ordering supplies.

* Answer and direct phone calls

* Produce correspondence and documents, either generated by others or composed on own under minimal direction.

* Schedule appointments and meetings, maintain calendars

* Coordinate travel arrangements and assist with expense reports

* Research and obtain data regarding departmental questions and problems

* May input budget, monitor department expenses and produce/distribute status reports

* May assist in the area of recruitment process, i.e., schedule interviews, track applicants, prepare offer packages.

* Ability to organize, prioritize and complete assignments of a non-routine/non-competitive nature (Multi-tasking)

* Provide advanced, diversified and confidential administrative duties in support of senior company executives or a division, utilizing vary degrees of independent judgment, initiative and tact.

* Assist w/contract work when requested.

Preferred Skills / Prerequisites

* Highly skilled in utilizing PC and standard software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

* Highly skilled with Outlook ? Calendar and address book

* Knowledge of company policies and procedures.

* Excellent organization skills and oral and written communication skills.

* May be required to obtain security clearance to support select projects

Minimum Qualifications

* High school diploma and 4 ? 5 years of experience with high school and certificate/training in business or secretarial field OR the equivalent combination of education and experience.
